The Airframe and Powerplant Technician is responsible for service and maintenance of the aircraft systems, power plant, airframe and components. This includes performing inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, part replacement and repairs, as well as other routine maintenance such as fluid servicing and lubrication. Plugging in and starting aircraft with power cart.

  • Pratt & Whitney PT 6 Turbo Prop Engines Preferred
    • (Other Pratt & Whitney Engine experience considered)
  • Engine Hot sectioning, Borescope, etc. experience a plus
  • Shorts 330 or 360 Aircraft, King Air preferred,
    • Other Twin Turbo Prop aircraft considered.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft maintenance work in accordance with FAA and Company regulation
  • Read and interpret technical and maintenance manuals, diagrams and blueprints
  • Document or record all work performed using Company provided logs, task cards, forms, tags or computer systems
  • Research and order parts and determine appropriate repair action/s.
  • Assist other technicians with a variety of tasks related to aircraft maintenance and aircraft movement
  • Ability to mentor and train (OJT)
  • FOD Control / Housekeeping Duties – Proper Storage and clean, organized work area

 Physical Abilities

This position requires you to perform a variety of physical activities such as:

  • Accessing elevated areas of aircraft for maintenance and servicing which may require the use of ladders, jet stairways, high lift trucks, boom lifts and other lifting devices
  • Climbing, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, sitting, working overhead, extensive walking, working in tight/confined spaces and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Handling hazardous material in performance of assigned duties
  • Be able to use Personal Protective Equipment (e.g., respirators, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.)

Education Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED/equivalent required
  • FAA A&P License required

Other Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid US driver's license (revoked, suspended or expired are not considered valid)
  • Passing of a 10-year background check
  • Passing of pre-placement physical abilities test, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen
  • Passing and maintaining recurring pulmonary function check for the use of a respirator with no medical restrictions or limitations, if necessary
  • Clearing a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to obtain and retain credentials necessary for the position required (ACC will consider applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable State and Federal law)
  • Possess own tools and the ability to purchase additional tools if required
  • Flexible to work any shift in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays required
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Ability to obtain US Passport if needed
  • Successful completion of pre-employment skills tests and interview
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is essential function of the position

Experience Requirements


  • 5 to 7 years’ experience with trouble shooting, repair, and maintenance of aluminum and/or composite skinned, pressurized jet/turboprop aircraft preferred. Shorts 330/360, King Air, Pratt & Whitney PT6, and other Twin Turbo Prop Aircraft experience considered.


  • Knowledge and ability to use power tools
  • The ability to become skilled on the use of various test and ground equipment
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
