Under general supervision of the Chief Pilot the Asst. Chief Pilot is responsible for to assist in the management of flight, pilot, and maintenance coordination.  

Responsibilities

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES 

The following are essential job accountabilities:

  • Take Morning maintenance calls and relay to the maintenance department and relay information from maintenance to Dispatch of plan for clearing maintenance issues.
  • On call for PM departure maintenance/crew issues Dispatch/Crews.
  • Update Scheduled route on time reliability (delays) reports on a weekly basis and provide information to the Chief Pilot, Director of Operations and Director of Maintenance.  
  • Update Scheduled route flight/block time analysis reports on a Monthly basis and provide information to the Chief Pilot & Director of Operations.
  • Assist Chief Pilot with pilot performance and regulatory issues.
  • Audit each aircraft in MKE or line station (when traveling) as required for current manual revision status and other required operational items.
  • Assist as scheduled with pilot training
  • Schedule all Shorts Simulator use in LGA and provide a details recap and breakdown by department use.
  • Assist in Pilot interview process (all programs).  Recording of hours utilized for program interviews. 
  • Coordinate with Dispatch to assist with Dispatcher training.
  • Assist in auditing of training records.
  • Conduct quarterly line checks and report written results to Chief Pilot, Director of Operations and Director of Maintenance. 
  • Any reasonable duty assigned by the Chief Pilot to assist with safe everyday running of the flight department and procurement of new business.  In addition, any duty required of the Chief Pilot in his absence, though the Chief Pilot ultimately retains responsibility. 

Education Requirements

Preferred Education:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
 

Experience Requirements

Minimum Experience:        

  • Up to nine years experience
  • Minimum/2500 Hours Flight Experience
  • Minimum/1000 Hours Part 135 Flight Experience 

 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Up to nine years experience

  • Minimum/1000 Hours Part 135 Flight Experience
